Medina Testifies Before Senate Committee Hearings to Nullify Health Care Bill
Debra Medina and We Texans will be attending the Health and Human Services Committee hearing on Thursday, April 15th at 9:00am located in Senate Chamber 2E.8 of the Capitol Building, in Austin, Texas. This hearing is open to the public. Medina, who will be testifying against nationalized health care, encourages all Texans who are displeased with the recent passage of the Federal health care bill to come and make their voices heard.
The Senate hearing will encompass two charges, which include: the states role in the exchange of health care information and a look at the current health care quality improvement initiatives in Texas and also containing health care costs.
The containment of health care costs is paramount in the fight against nationalized health care. If we do not act, We Texans will be mandated to purchase health care through a bill that can land citizens in jail for lack of payment.
Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, is already fighting this over-reaching Federal legislation, but nullification and interposition will give Abbott another avenue to fight for Texans. Due to past rulings, like Kelo vs. New London and Roe vs. Wade, we cannot solely rely on the hope that the Supreme Court will defend the U.S. Constitution. Texas can and must exercise her Tenth Amendment right and nullify this bill. Please stand with us as we encourage our state legislators to tell Washington D.C. that, "Texas will take care of Texans!"
